Community Learning Exchange (CLE) Fund

CWA is pleased to offer a limited Community Learning Exchange (CLE) Fund to support members attending the Saturday conference site visit. 

The fund is intended to help cover travel and accommodation costs, enabling members to participate in this valuable learning opportunity, learn from peers, and share knowledge, ideas and good practice with their own community woodland groups. 

• What funding is available? 

  • Accommodation costs of up to £100 per person. 

  • Travel costs at 45p per mile for those travelling by car, or the cost of public transport where receipts are provided. 

• How to apply

• Please note 

  • Funding is limited and registering your interest does not guarantee that expenses will be reimbursed. 

  • The level of support available will depend on the number of applications received and the funds available. 

  • Applicants should not assume that all costs incurred will be reimbursed in full. 

  • Participants will be required to pay all expenses upfront. 

  Any reimbursement will be subject to available funds and will only be processed once CWA has received: 

  • a completed expenses claim form; 

  • all relevant receipts for eligible expenditure; and 

  • a completed CLE feedback form provided by CWA. 

  Failure to submit the required claim form, receipts and feedback form may result in reimbursement not being made. 

• CLE Feedback Requirements 

  The feedback form, provided by CWA after the event, will ask funding applicants to reflect on how their attendance at their site visit: 

  • Improved your understanding of community woodland governance and stewardship; 

  • Increased your knowledge of woodland management and biodiversity enhancement; and 

  • Inspired new ideas for delivering sustainable community, environmental and economic benefits through your woodland. 

Member Groups

• Friday + Saturday. 1st ticket: £65 per person

• Friday + Saturday. 2nd or additional tickets: £50 per person

• Friday OR Saturday: £40 per person

Individual Members

• Friday + Saturday: £65 per person

• Friday OR Saturday: £40 per person

Non-members + organisations

• Friday + Saturday: £100 per person

• Friday OR Saturday: £60 per person
