"Munchatreeaforest" - wins young filmmakers award!Posted: 11/03/2008
Munchatreeaforest is a documentary made by a group of young filmmakers aged between five and nine. All the children live in Inverie on the Knoydart pennisula and the film, written, produced and directed by the children, was supported by the Knoydart Forest Trust. It won best film award from First Light Movies for a film by children 12 and under.
In the film, the children objectively explore and discuss the destruction of the Knoydart Forest as old growth was felled to make way for new planting. As a result of making Munchatreeaforest the young filmmakers are keen to make another follow-up film after some years when the trees they have planted will have grown.
