Minister for Environment Visits Milton Community WoodlandPosted: 30/07/2007
On Monday 30th July Michael Russell MSP, Minister for Environment paid a visit to Milton Community Woodland Nr Tain. Mr Russell was very interested in the projects Milton were taking forward including their plans to develop the ‘Stepping Stones’ social enterprise. The group will use their woodland to train young people not in education, training or work. Woodland skills can develop confidence and encourage young people to enter further education.
Mr Russell also took the opportunity to play the drums accompanied by CWA Chief Executive Jon Hollingdale, FC Highland Conservator Bob Dunsmore and Henry Fosbrooke community forester at Milton.
