Social Enterprise Development OfficerWe are seeking a Social Enterprise Development Officer to support community woodland groups in the Highland LEADER area in the development of Employability Service Businesses. The role will include carrying out feasibility studies, drawing up business plans, developing training programmes to build capacity within groups, and coordinating work between groups.

Laggan Forest Trust - Community Renewables OfficerThe Laggan Community Association and The Laggan Forest Trust are seeking to appoint a Community Renewables Officer. Funding for this position has been made possible by Laggan’s successful bid to the Climate Challenge Fund to address the potential for renewable resources to be practically and effectively utilized by the community. The post holder will work within the community and with consultants engaged to carry out feasibility studies. Based in Laggan the contract will be spread over a period of six months between August 2010 and January 2011 for a fixed fee of £4,800 to be made in staged payments. Approximately 50 days work will be required.

Business Development Manager
We are seeking an experienced business manager to establish a new social enterprise as a wholly owned subsidiary of CWA, generating income to support our charitable aims. The post holder will work closely with the board of CWA and the Chief Executive to develop future strategy and business plans.

Dunnet Forestry Trust. Community Forest RangerTo promote and develop forest education, volunteer groups and green gym activities, also maintain and enhance the bio - diversity of the woodland.
Part time post, 2 days per week for a period of three years.
Salary £25,000 pa pro-rata.
Qualification desirable in environmental, forestry or educational disciplines. Experience of working with children and mixed ability groups of all ages would be beneficial.

Woodland Officer
Developing biodiversity-rich woodland resource in North Scotland. Working with land-managers, including community groups. Degree in forestry (or similar) would be highly desirable, as would grant-aid proposal experience (e.g. SRDP RP). Based in Golspie.
Salary: up to £28k (+ benefits).
Full-time, to July 2011, initially.
