Coigach-Assynt Living Landscape Partnership - Development Manager

Location: Lochinver
Hours: 35 per week
Term: March 2014 till July 2015 (likely extension to January 2021)

Following the successful £3million Stage 1 bid to the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF), the Scottish Wildlife Trust (SWT), on behalf of the Coigach-Assynt Living Landscape Partnership, is now looking to appoint a highly experienced project manager to develop Stage 2 of this groundbreaking initiative, which will begin to restore Coigach and Assyntís magnificent natural habitats and archaeological heritage through the HLF Landscape Partnership Scheme (LPS).

Working closely with 12 local partners the Development Manager will shape the 35 project ideas already identified into deliverable, fully-funded projects ranging from £1k - £500k.
You will act as secretariat to the partnership board and report on all financial and project progress to the board, HLF and SWT.

Assuming approval of the Stage 2 bid you will be responsible for overall management and delivery of the LPS including the appointment and line management of the delivery team.
You will be a highly motivated manager with proven experience in complex project and budget management, and line management experience. Excellent communication, diplomacy, and organisational skills are a must.

Additionally, you will have strong nature conservation knowledge and a sound understanding of rural community issues in Scotland. Importantly, you will have the enthusiasm and initiative to make things happen.

Applicants should be educated to degree level in a relevant discipline, self-motivated and able to demonstrate achievements in partnership working and environmental and / or community projects.
