Membership
The CWA has around 100 members. We have 5 categories of membership, reflecting the diversity of groups and organisations involved in Community Woodlands. Please download the Membership Form if you would like to join us.
As a CWA Member, you will receive “Woodland Voices”, the Community Woodlands Association newsletter, membership of the Community Woodland e-group and an inviation and/or subsidised place(s) at the annual Community Woodland conference. You will also receive the Community Woodland Information Pack and updates.(See examples of Member documents in Publications)
The membership categories are:
Full : A community-led woodland group. The majority of the group’s directors have been elected from the local community.
Standard : A small community-led group with an annual turnover less than £1,000 and/or a community-led group working towards having control of a woodland or woodlands and/or a partner group with shared responsibility for the management of local woodland(s). The group does not have overall control of the partnership.
Umbrella : An umbrella community woodland group (i.e. membership consists primarily of community woodland groups) with a significant level of direct community representation on the Board.
Associate : An organisation which owns and / or manages woodlands, working to increase the involvement of community groups in the woodlands for which they are responsible.
Individual : An individual who supports the CWA aims and objectives.
