The wood gives considerable pleasure to those who use it. The woodland is predominantly Scots Pine with mixed hardwoods of Oak, Birch, Rowan and Holly. Some of the Scots Pine are 100 years old and surely the aim must be to keep them another 100 years. The woodland has been used with the owners agreement for recreational purposes by the local community particularly those of Guisach Terrace when it was owned by Cameron of Lochiel. |
