This year CWA are celebrating the 10th Annual Community Woodland Conference in Drumnadrochit, by the banks of beautiful Loch Ness.  We hope you will join us for a great networking event.

Topics over the weekend are shown on the conference schedule (download below).  These will include presentations from established member groups on how they transformed their wood and increased community benefits through active woodland management, how life long learning and forest school education works in a community woodland, managing woodland for maximum wildlife benefit, squirrels, moths, bumblebees and much, much more. 

Saturday afternoon will have great inspirational visits to:

• Abriachan Forest Trust, this forest has been developed to provide maximum community benefit;
• Reelig Glen Wood, Kirkhill and Bunchrew Community Trust in partnership with Forestry Commission Scotland;
• Dunain Community Woodland, currently managed under an informal agreement with a private owner;
• Glenurquart Land Use Partnership reducing flood risk in Drumnadrochit.

Learn how to get your message across and the best mechanisms to do it.  The course will cover press releases, how to handle press interviews. Drumchapel Community Woodland will also take you round their award winning woodland, looking at various aspects that could be used for promotion. Details and booking form available below.
