Designed for representatives of community organisations who would like structured support on how best to develop project ideas, this one and a half day event will bring together people from many different areas to discuss key actions that need to take place before a project can be fully developed.

The format will include presentations by communities who have ‘been there and done it’ and can help inspire you as well as understand your difficulties.  There will be a 3 course dinner on Thursday evening to allow you to relax with fellow participants and share your experiences informally.  Overnight accommodation in single en suite rooms is also included.

5/6/7 Sept and 12/13/14 Sept - two 3 day events back to back in Inverie,

Knoydart Forest Trust invites you to join them for a 3 day Scribe Log Building course led by professional log builder Alan Mackintosh. This 3 day course will be run on 2 dates in September following on from the two events held in July. This learning and networking opportunity is aimed at members of community woodland groups who are interested in undertaking log building projects. To get the most out of the course you need to be competent with a chainsaw (i.e. regular chainsaw users, preferably having attended an industry approved ‘maintenance and cross-cutting course’ or higher level). It may still be possible to fit you on the course if you do not have much chainsaw experience so please contact Knoydart Forest Trust to discuss.
