Kilfinan Forest Trust - Essential Woodworking at Kilfinan Community Forest

1st August - 2nd August
This two-day workshop is aimed at people who have an interest in developing their skills in woodworking, but have little or no experience. It’s free and anyone can sign up, though places are limited to 40.

It will be split into four sessions. The first session will focus on green woodworking in the natural environment and traditional methods using limited tools. The second will involve a practical sawmill demonstration and will demystify the process of building a structure out of timber. The third will be a lesson in wood carving. And in the final session, participants will work together to create a lasting forest sculpture. All the sessions will be delivered by our talented local woodworkers.

Lunch and tea/coffee is provided.

If you're interested in taking part contact Nikki 01700 811159 or at nikki@kilfinancommunityforest.com before 15th July. Places are limited so hurry! A £5 non-refundable booking fee applies.
