CWA Conference 2014 "Making the Connection" - Bleachingfield Centre, Dunbar, East Lothian

23rd August - 24th August

This year’s CWA Conference and AGM will take place in Dunbar, John Muir’s birthplace, and looks set to be a great weekend, with plenty of opportunities to network, share experiences and be inspired by a diverse line up of speakers, workshops and site visits.

The theme of the conference is “Making the connections”, and we’ll be focussing on how community woodlands connect with different sections of the communities they serve, and how they link up the economic, social and environmental benefits they produce. Most of all, the conference is about connecting up those who manage Scotland’s community woods. The most important ingredient for any conference is the people, and there’s always plenty of networking time, not least at the conference dinner and ceilidh on Saturday night. If you’ve been to a CWA conference before then you’ll know what to expect (and hopefully want to come again) but if not then why not come along and experience it for yourself!

The CWA Conference is supported by Forestry Commission Scotland and Highlands and Islands Enterprise.
