The North East Scotland Biological Records Centre (Nesbrec) and Forestry Commission Scotland - Managing Wildlife and Forestry,Porterhouse, Thainstone, Inverurie

25th March
NESBReC and Forestry Commission Scotland are hosting a seminar on the importance of biodiversity in woodlands and how to manage woodlands to benefit biodiversity in the North East of Scotland. This free event will be of interest to anyone in the North East who is involved in planning for woodland management or woodland creation.

Accessing information on species and habitats is essential for good planning, NESBReC holds over 1.1 million species records within North East Scotland. NESBReC can provide information on species or habitats that may benefit from, or be compromised by land management operations.

For anyone who is seeking funding for a woodland project, data from NESBReC can help to focus the projects objectives.

This programme of talks will discuss priority woodland species, examples of woodland projects, local priorities for woodlands, as well as how to access information on species and habitats.
