The Woodland Wanderers - An Introduction to Apple Tree Pruning - POSTPONED UNTIL THE AUTUMN

1st March - 2nd March
This is a 2 day workshop with Chris Pepper based in a mature Fruit Orchard near Forres. In this beautiful setting you will be introduced to the principles of caring for apple trees. As these trees are mature Chris will take you through the orchard and you will learn about the varying techniques used to renovate and care for their form and structure and you will learn how to prune for fruit production. There will be some introductory reading prior to the weekend.

This course is mainly for beginners, but intermediary pruners are welcome for those who want to hone or refresh their skills.

10am till 4pm (latest). Cost - £40 for 1 day. £70 for the two days.

£20 non- returnable deposit is required to secure your place.

Included – Tea, Coffee & Hot Chocolate. Materials, use of tools and gloves.

Venue – To be provided upon booking. 10 Places.

Clothing – wear clothes that can get dirty. Sturdy boots will be required. Please dress for the weather – unless it is very bad weather then the workshop will still go ahead. If the trees have started to grow, then we may have to postpone to next season. I will keep you informed.
