The Woodland Wanders - An Introduction to Apple Tree Pruning 2 Day Workshop with Chris Pepper

1st February - 2nd February
his is a 2 day workshop with Chris Pepper based in a mature Fruit Orchard near Forres. In this beautiful setting you will be introduced to the principles of caring for apple trees. As these trees are mature Chris will take you through the orchard and you will learn about the varying techniques used to renovate and care for their form and structure and you will learn how to prune for fruit production. There will be some introductory reading prior to the weekend.

This course is mainly for beginners, but intermediary pruners are welcome for those who want to hone their skills.


When: Saturday 1st & 2nd February 2014, 10am till 4pm (latest).

Cost: £40 for 1 day. £70 for the two days. £20 deposit is required to secure your place.

Included: Tea, Coffee & Hot Chocolate. Materials, use of tools and gloves.

Venue: To be provided upon booking. 10 Places.

Clothing: wear clothes that can get dirty and please dress for the weather – unless it is very bad weather then the course will still go ahead. If the course is cancelled due to bad weather then it will be re-arranged. Sturdy boots will be required.
