Horse Logging at Ledmore & Migdale Woods (Highlands)

24th November

Go and see forestry in action the old fashioned way.
Special woodland habitats, like Migdale Rock Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), can be damaged by heavy machinery.

Horse logging offers an alternative that is kinder to the forest floor, and a lot of FUN to watch!

• Horse logging demonstrations 10am-12pm and 1pm-3pm

• Hobby horse making workshops for children 11am and 2pm

FREE. Booking not required. Please wear warm clothes and stout footwear.

Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Directions: From Spinningdale, take the minor road signposted to Migdale. Parking is the large lay-by 0.8 mile on the right. From there walk 200 yards to the wood entrance on the left and follow the hoof prints into the woods.
