Willow Structures Fedging (Killearn)

20th October

Willow Structures Fedging - Is it a hedge or a fence, it’s both!
20th October 10.30am - 4pm - £45
Carbeth Home Farm, Killearn

Willow weaving is a wonderful craft, and techniques are easy to learn and apply in a creative and practical way to any garden or greenspace.

This workshop will teach you the basics on how to create your own living fence using a criss-cross method for strength and durability. We will show you where to find willow, how to coppice and tend to create your own willow fence/ dome.

Please bring: waterproofs, warm work clothes; pen & notebook; boots or wellies. Soup and treats will be served round the campfire at lunchtime or bring your own pack lunch.

Run by Joyce MacFarlane of Creative Branch is an experienced sculptor and environmental professional who has designed and built many willow structures with schools and local authorities around Scotland.
