A Walk in the Glen - Tree Identification

4th December

Tree identification walk / talk with Donald McPhillimy

Sunday 4th December 2011
10.45am – 1.30pm
Alva Glen, Alva, Clackmannanshire

Come and join Alva Glen Heritage Trust and expert forester Donald McPhillimy for a winter walk in the spectacular Alva Glen. The walk aims to give participants the knowledge and techniques required to identify and record a wide variety of tree species in a given location. The walk will have particular focus on the non-native Conifers and specimen trees that have survived in the glen since its use as a formal garden in the 19th Century

To ensure we have enough tea and coffee – and more importantly biscuits – available on the day, please let us know by the 2nd December if you are planning to come to the event. Drop an email to or call Rosslyn on 01324 825695.
