NWDG Woodland History Conference

10th November - 11th November

The 2011 History Conference will be held on Thursday 10th November 2011, at the AK Bell Library in Perth. The title for the theme this year is: 'Community, woodlands and perceptions of ownership: historical perspectives'. Through this theme they seek to explore the role of woodland history in the growing community interest in woodlands and in changing perceptions of woodland ownership. The key speaker is George Peterken who will consider these issues in relation to the Forest of Dean in particular. Click here for the programme which has now been finalised. The event is also open to non-members: please contact Alison Averis if you wish to be added to the mailing list. The venue has been changed in an effort to make travelling easier, especially by public transport. For any enquiries, please contact Mairi Stewart. Or visit
