Workshop: Tree-Ring Dating & Archaeology, An Introduction. 28 July 2011, East Lothian. Tutor: Dr Coralie Mills There are a few places remaining on this one day workshop, which will introduce the principles and applications of tree-ring dating in archaeology, using mainly Scottish examples. The event is suitable for anyone with an interest, you do not need to be an archaeologist. Applications of tree-ring dating in woodland history will also be introduced, with an afternoon visit to the ancient oak woodland and associated deer-park archaeology at Dalkeith. The event is held in association with the Rampart Scotland Archaeological Field-school, and the morning session is at their base at Alison Cargill House in Whittinghame Village near Haddington.
