CWA Project Showcase
Arts, Culture, Heritage NetworkFollowing the success of a theatre tour by te POOKa during Sept and Oct 07 as part of Scotland’s year of Highland Culture, a Scotland wide steering group has been established to develop projects in arts, culture and heritage. These projects will use woodlands as venues and ......
.... the steering group will work to secure funding to deliver the ideas coming forward from the wider network.
In 2006 CWA appointed a coordinator to help the sector develop the network of groups interested in using their woodlands as venues for the arts. This contract ended in March 2008.
The network is taking forward plans for a boat building project, an art and ran a successful photography competition in 2008. The group have now applied for funding for a feasibility study to gather information from community woodland groups on what other ideas they have and how these would best be delivered. In March 2009 Investing In Ideas awarded part of this funding and further funding is now being sought.
